Just have a talk with Willian Pitcock (upstream) and he tried to reproduce
this bug too, without any success.
Could you tell me exactly what you do to crash audacious, and provide a
strace?

I can't reproduce it. If I set a wrong path for my cdrom and then click on add
cd audio, audacious just shows a popup telling me the path is invalid.
No crash here.
