For countries where there often is power failure: I want to suggest that on normal installation dvds and cds, as well as netinst cds there is e2fsck in the main directory. The idea is that after a power failure the user can: boot the installation cd, choose "Execute a shell" enter "cd /cdrom" and "e2fsck -f -p /dev/..."
