The xsmbrowser is not properly handling the wins server info
from smb.conf. More specifically the parameter
default_samba_wins_server remains empty even if there is
corresponding entry in smb.conf.
The patch attached below has solved the problem in my case.

Note: the same applies to sarge as well as etch version of the package.
