Thanks for taking care of this package, and for having written the new
maintainers' guide.

While updating (actually the French translation of) the new maintainers'
guide, I manage to begin a DEP5 compatible debian/copyright file for
your package, attached. In fact, I tend to agree with Pavel: even if
upstream copyright is not legally conform to the GNU GPL usage, the
debian/copyright one should (and probably must).

Anyway, since this package is used as example in the new maintainers'
guide, I really think it should give the good example, thus I'm willing,
if it's OK with you, to look further and provide a full DEP5
debian/copyright file documenting any file in your package.

BTW, I maybe should open another bug for this really tiny issue, fill
free to duplicate it if it worth it, but the short description of your
package shouldn't begin with "a ", in order to comply with the advised
heuristic [0] of the developer's reference.
