I recently tried to hunt down the issue by deinstalling the "offending font" nautilus complains about at startup.
So I purged ttf-bitstream-vera - which in turn took childsplay* childsplay-plugins* keyjnote* python-opengl* and xmms-singit* with it - and now I get the next PANGO-WARNING and nautilus still crashes (nautilus:9329): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_pango_font_description_get_largest_fitting_font_size: assertion `maximum_acceptable_font_size > minimum_acceptable_font_size' failed (nautilus:9329): Pango-WARNING **: shape engine failure, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'DejaVu Sans Bold Not-Rotated 0' I wonder if I will have to purge all ttf fontzs until nautilus works again ...? gruss mlo -- Dipl.-Ing.
