You have an open gnome-terminal with its window not fully enlarged, and you time a command longer than a line. For example: if in your gnome terminal 80 chars fit, you type a longest-than-80-chars line, i.e.: wget

I'm able to reproduce it in ubuntu feisty with gnome-terminal 2.18 and libvte9 0.16.3 The issue is when a command is larger that the terminal width and goes to the following line. If I Interrupt the command, issuing then the up arrow gives the problem that the part of the command that should come
