blitz++ and libgenerics fail to build from source perhaps because of a nonexistent libgcc-s2-dev. I have the blitz++ chroot in tact and I'd be happy to run any tests you'd like to help debug this. Here are selected excerpts from the blitz++ buildd log. | Checking correctness of source dependencies... | Toolchain package versions: libc6-dev_2.5-10 linux-kernel-headers_2.6.18-7 gcc-4.1_4.1.2-12 g++-4.1_4.1.2-12 binutils_2.17cvs20070426-8 libstdc++6-4.1-dev_4.1.2-12 libstdc++6_4.2-20070516-1 [...] | # Care for dynamic library | d-shlibmove --commit \ | --movedev "debian/tmp/usr/include/*" usr/include \ | --movedev "debian/tmp/usr/lib/pkgconfig/*" usr/lib/pkgconfig \ | debian/tmp/usr/lib/libblitz.so | Library package automatic movement utility | --> libc6-dev package exists. | devlibs error: There is no package matching [libgcc_s2-dev] and noone provides it, please report bug to d-shlibs maintainer | --> libstdc++6-dev package exists. | make: *** [install] Error 1 A full buildd log is available at <http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?pkg=blitz++&ver=1:0.9-4&arch=m68k> Other buildd logs may be available at <http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=&pkg=blitz++> The libgenerics failure looks like the following. | d-devlibdeps --override s/libxml2-2-dev/libxml2-dev/ debian/libgenerics1-dev.substvars debian/tmp/usr/lib/libgenerics.so | --> libc6-dev package exists. | devlibs error: There is no package matching [libgcc_s2-dev] and noone provides it, please report bug to d-shlibs maintainer | --> libstdc++6-dev package exists. | --> libxml2-dev package exists. | make: *** [debian/install-libs-stamp] Error 1 A full buildd log is available at <http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?pkg=libgenerics&ver=1.2-2&arch=m68k> Other buildd logs may be available at <http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=&pkg=libgenerics> -- Stephen R.
