I also think such a list would be very useful to have and have many happy
subscribers :)
IMO it would also be enough, if it had the same restrictions as
debian-devel-announce: every DD can post signed mails there (and therefore
DDs can also sign+post someone elses mails). Should hopefully
i have heard users wish for such a low volume list and second this request.

This ML would it make much easier for sysadmin to follow the announces of
our security team and our point releases.
So the must not read our quit high traffic list.

Hi,
I would also like to see such a ml.
I think at least some of the non native English speaking teachers would
prefer to not subscribe the regular debian-edu@ ml to fish the
announcements out of all the english mails.
