Even after "rm -rf ~/.TeXmacs", sincy my last upgrade to bleeding edge
sid, texmacs segfaults on startup. Here is the end of an strace:

reassign 439923 guile-1.8-libs

After discussing the issue with guile upstream [1], I came to know
that guile-1.8 is not ABI compatible if threads are enabled. Threads
are reenabled in guile 1.8.2+1-2 leading to the crash of texmacs.
Since the fix has to come from guile package itself, I am
