Riku and Steve, I quick note to update you on the status of freetds.
I grabbed the patch from unixodbc, #429600 A bit of investigation showed that the patch chunk matched in aclocal.m4 so I patched that and tried a build. Unfortunately the build failed in exactly the same way. I've had a look in debian/rules and the build appears to run autotools so I think the patch is getting lost somewhere. Since I have no idea how autotools is supposed to work I'm stuck.
