Hello,
this bug was firstly found on etch, then replicated on lenny but only
in Gnome and not on KDE; that said, either it's already fixed, or it
was related to some *other* broken packages. Hence, I'm closing it.

Same problem here: aMule crashes immediately on start-up. I ran it with
gdb and got this output:
