hi, some time ago I changed the Debian package in lenny, so that, when it installs, it does not put a line "vo=" into /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf . The idea is that, without such a line, 'mplayer' will try a sensible list of vo-s, and choose the best. Unfortunately, this seems to break 'gmplayer'.
