I'm sorry for the delay in answering to this bug. I have been really busy at the
University.
Let me try your solution today, I am also making cegui compile against a new
version of xerces, so that I consider also important to fix the Lua problem.

Since the lua, tolua, and related files where not being generated after
the patches, I investigated further and found two issues that seems the
remaining problems:
1. I forgot to ask you to depend on liblualib50-dev
2. Perhaps a typo, or copy-paste problem: in
debian/patches/04_changing_makefile_t
