Hi all, Just a quick note to say that the detection radius is now shown (with green dots, as in Oangband) in the 3.1.0beta version. If the original reporter considers that this mitigates the danger of the new scrolling behaviour, he could close this bug.
OTOH if he still feels strongly that it should be an option, the correct place to report it is at http://trac.rephial.org, the upstream bug tracker. This bug can then be tagged as passed upstream.
