Package: ifupdown Version: 0.7~alpha3 Severity: wishlist
Hello! iproute 20080108-1, which is now available in both testing and unstable, has both support for dotted-quad netmasks (which I unfortunately broke in 20071016-3) and has also been bumped to severity important. Since ifupdown is important and policy says packages shouldn't depend on other packages with lower priority, plus the need for dotted-quad netmasks support for backwards compatability with peoples /etc/network/interfaces (which in ifupdown <= 0.6 *required* dotted-quad) please add a versioned dependency on iproute >= 20080108-1 for the 0.7 (experimental) version of ifupdown. Thanks. (With this minor nitpick fixed, I think it would be nice to see 0.7 get pushed towards unstable.) -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (300, 'unstable'), (100, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages ifupdown depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.18 Debian configuration management sy ii iproute 20080108-1 Professional tools to control the ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-24 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii net-tools 1.60-19 The NET-3 networking toolkit ifupdown recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
