Package: apticron Version: 1.1.12 Severity: important
The following error occurs with apticron on a vps system: ~# /usr/sbin/apticron RTNETLINK answers: Address family not supported by protocol Dump terminated >From Unix man pages: *rtnetlink* (4) <http://www.rt.com/man/rtnetlink.4.html> *Rtnetlink* allows to set up and read network routes, ip addresses, link parameters, neighbour setups, queueing disciplines, traffic classes packet I don't understand why apticron wants to do that, but it makes it unusable in a vps where routing and addressing is handled by the host node. Thanks for looking at this. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages apticron depends on: ii apt-listchanges 2.59-0.2 Display change history from .deb a ii coreutils 5.2.1-2 The GNU core utilities ii debconf 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii iproute 20041019-3 Professional tools to control the ii mailx 1:8.1.2-0.20040524cvs-4 A simple mail user agent -- debconf information: * apticron/notification: root -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
