This bug is annoying but not release critical, as the issue is gone
after the GNOME/KDE session is restarted or when beagle was started
manually.

I think that's the answer. I installed beagle and the iceweasel-beagle
packages at the same time, and it seems beagled didn't start properly. I had
to start it manually from the kerry config dialog. Pe

Ummm, you're right. It should point by default to ~/.beagle
I will contact upstream, as I am not sure about the exact dir it should
point, or it is expected to poinit to.
