[Holger Levsen] Why do you believe that? Which kernel options are requiered? The inotify kernel feature is needed, as far as I know. I believe it is missing in 2.6.18. My test run on an etch machine gave me a very short list of files to load, and this made me believe the profile run on 2.6.18
