Hi,
enabling checksumming seems to work around the problem reported here.
After activating checksumming, i got some of these messages in
var/log/apt-cacher/error.log:
| Fri Apr 18 23:25:39 2008|10.2.1.3| ALARM!Faulty package in local cache
detected! Removing, to be replaced with the next
