Hi,
I have the same problem like Frans.
Jack support is still not working with mixxx in Debian Lenny on amd64.
The documentation says that it should be supported.
And this report says that the problem is caused by portaudio19:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/portaudio19/+bug/183011

I really do not now anything about this, but could Peter be right?
I have the problem that selecting jack in mixxx is not an option on
amd64 lenny. According to the ubuntu guys, see:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/portaudio19/+bug/183011
, this has to do with portaudio and apparently
Package: portaudio19
Severity: normal
The memory barrier instructions for i386 (mfence, lfence and sfence) also work
on
amd64. So there is no reason to prohibit the use of jack.
