Marcelo, can you please provide your squid configuration file (/etc/squid/ squid.conf)? If you're running the squid_unix_group from the command line as it seems from your mail, the garbage you see is simply something you are passing to the program just after 'foobar'. If you are running it

do you see the garbage text as well ? beside the multiplie "helper: Group does not exist" lines ? it looks like binary text you get when printing a binary executable on the console , and it fiils up /var/log/squid/cache.log with this text , it dosen't look very informative to me. it looks to me li
