Package: amule-daemon Version: 2.1.3-1 Severity: important Kad did not start even though I had received a high ID on ED2K, so I tried to download http://download.overnet2000.de/nodes.dat in my browser and received the reply "The requested URL /nodes.dat was not found on this server."
I then went through amulegui, amulecmd and the web interface (port 4711) but could not change the address. Then I grepped ~/.aMule/* and /etc/default/amule-daemon but could not find out where this address is stored. I then tried downloading a nodes.dat file I found through a web search and putting it into ~./aMule. This works with varying results. Sometimes Kad is connected but most of the time it is either running but disconnected or not running. Kad searches never give any results whatever the status. Of course, after a few days Kad cannot connect to anything anymore because the file is out of date. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 by Linux-Systeme APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.24.4 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages amule-daemon depends on: ii amule-common 2.1.3-1 common files for the rest of aMule ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcrypto++5.2c2a 5.2.1c2a-3 General purpose cryptographic shar ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-1 PNG library - runtime ii libreadline5 5.2-2 GNU readline and history libraries ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwxbase2.6-0 2.6.3.2.1.5 wxBase library (runtime) - non-GUI ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime Versions of packages amule-daemon recommends: ii amule-utils 2.1.3-1 utilities for aMule (command-line -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
