Further testing shows this same failure hitting on most of my x86 boxen
I'm not yet sure it is the only one, but is deffinitely common.

Hi. I rebuild cfengine 2 with DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip to get debug
information included in the binaries. Are you able to rerun your test
with valgrind using these binaries (or binaries you build yourself
using the above environment variable)? It hopefully will provide more
