I would like to add some information to the bug description.
The problem seems to be in the /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/gr file. In the
latest version the lines :
    key <AC10> { [    dead_acute,        dead_horn    ] };
    key <AC11> { [    dead_grave,        dead_ogonek    ] };
have been changed to :
    key <AC10> { [    dead_acute,        dead_psili    ] };
    key <AC11> { [    dead_grave,        dead_dasia    ] };
Linguistically speaking, this is the right thing to do.
But one must, also, correct accordingly the
/usr/share/X11/locale/el_GR.UTF-8/Compose
and the  /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose files.
The credit for showing the above is Simos' (
