Screenletsd shell script uses printf "abcd" instead of printf "abcd\n"
allover the places, so that, e.g., we have
% screenletsd --help
  Options:       --gui                   Open up the Graphical Interface        
 --cli    Use the Command Line interface  Cli Options (only use one at a time): 
      run           Run the Screenlet           au                   Add the 
Screenlet to your autostart list    list                          List all 
installed screenlets% 

maybe other shell scripts in the package have similar behaviour
