Btrfs is not suitably stable for production use, and the disk format will continue to change over the next few releases.
The plan is to finalize the disk format by the end of the year. Btrfs packages have been built against redhat, suse, gentoo and other distros with warnings about the unstable disk format. They do make it easier for testers who are interested in trying out the FS even though the disk format is unstable. I don't object to packages being built or included because more testers (who understand they are using beta software) is a good thing. But, I certainly wouldn't blame debian for taking btrfs out either. -chris -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
