In the Settings -> Authentication part of the web interface, I read
that:

If PHP's LDAP module is not enabled, LDAP Authentication will not
appear as a selectable option.

Unfortunately, the php4-ldap and php5-ldap modules are not mentioned
anywhere in the package dependencies. I think a "suggests" dependency
would make sense here.
