Facter causes Puppet to leave behind defunct processes:

I've seen this increase to up to a hundred defunct processes after a
week or so.  Killing the Puppet process makes the defunct processes
disappear.  The latest release of Facter (1.5.1) fixes this by adding a
Process.waitall thread.  The commit is:
