Package: svn-buildpackage
Version: 0.6.23
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/svn-upgrade

Hi,

svn-upgrade seems to ignore some files from upstream tarballs. It did
at least not import a temporary file (.ScanDeps.pm.swp) accidentally
shipped in an upstream tarball [1].

This can be reproduced for the libmodule-scandeps-perl package:

 * import libmodule-scandeps-perl/0.84-1 (from lenny):
   dget -x
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/libm/libmodule-scandeps-perl/libmodule-scandeps-perl_0.84-1.dsc
 * get upstream release for 0.86 and run svn-upgrade:
   wget
http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/S/SM/SMUELLER/Module-ScanDeps-0.86.tar.gz

The upstream tarball contains "lib/Module/.ScanDeps.pm.swp", but the
file is stored neither in the working directory nor in the upstream
branch.

Regards,
Ansgar

[1] It is not a loss in this case, but svn-upgrade should import *all*
    files from upstream.
