Hey, I downgraded fish to 1.23.0-5, from lenny and could not reproduce the crash either, so I am inclined to think this was bad interaction with some library or external application causing the crash.
I tried fish in my lenny chroot, though, and got this: k...@abacate > echo $fish: Unable to create a configuration directory for fish. Your personal settings will not be saved. Please set the $XDG_CONFIG_HOME variable to a directory where the current user has write access. fish: Process 15483, 'fish_pager' from job 1, 'fish_pager -c 3 -r 4 -p '$'' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error) After setting XDG_CONFIG_HOME to /tmp: k...@abacate > echo $ fish: Process 15598, 'fish_pager' from job 1, 'fish_pager -c 3 -r 4 -p '$'' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error) So maybe it was fish_pager causing fish itself to segfault? Apparently the crash is still in lenny, though. If you feel like closing this bug for 1.23.1 onward, I'm good, though.
