Package: python2.6-doc Version: 2.6.1-3 Severity: normal Your package python2.6-doc ships a copy of jquery.js in /usr/share/doc/python2.6/html/_static/jquery.js.
Please replace this copy with a symlink to /usr/share/javacript/jquery.js and depend on libjs-jquery, the approach that has been taken by python-sphinx and python-apt. This is partially related to Policy 4.13 which deals with "Convenience copies of code" in source packages, because it shares the same ideas. There also seems to be a problem with the search in the documentation, which can be fixed by a simple rebuild, as it seems to be fixed in newer versions of python-sphinx. BTW, is there any reason python2.6 is uploaded to experimental? Without being added to the list of supported python versions, no external packages are affected by a python2.6 installation. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (350, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages python2.6 depends on: ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.5-1 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6 2.9-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdb4.7 4.7.25-6 Berkeley v4.7 Database Libraries [ ii libncursesw5 5.7+20090404-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libreadline5 5.2-4 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsqlite3-0 3.6.12-1 SQLite 3 shared library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8g-16 SSL shared libraries ii mime-support 3.44-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii python2.6-minimal 2.6.1-3 A minimal subset of the Python lan python2.6 recommends no packages.
