Hi,
I reopened the bug. If linking mutt with tokyocabinet instead of gdbm is
not wanted this bug should be tagged wontfix.
It would be great though, if tokyocabinet becomes the default header
cache backend.

This is basically a wishlist item. But I'd recommended switching to
Tokyo Cabinet, assuming there is no licensing problems, which I don't
think it does because it is bundled in Debian already. It does seem to
be substantially faster than gdbm or o
