Usb-modeswitch and usb-modeswitch-data saw big updates in the last months, so
it
might very well be fixed in the latest versions.
Did you gain access to your hardware to test this ?

Sorry, the hardware is back at its owner since long time.
No chance to check :~( Maybe just close the bug.
