Hi.It starts before yesterday, after standard updating my Debian. All
windows titles are behind top gnome-panel and all status bars are behind
bottom gnome-panel. I tried restore xorg.conf with dpkg-reconfigure -phigh
xserver-xorg, but nothing changed.
Also I deleted ~/.gconf/apps/panel but no resu
borschty on gnome irc gave me this as the patch for this issue:

Upgrading gnome-panel to 2.26 partially solves this issue.
If you have a panel with hide buttons and you click one of them, any
maximized windows will not be updated. They all stay with the same
size, and

When maximizing a window, its title bar gets hidden by GNOME's title bar.
If I hide the the panel, I can see the title bar, so the issue seems to be that
metacity isn't recognizing where the "desktop" ends.
