I tried this locally on a Sid system with the package from Lenny and
everything works as expected.
Please install gdb (the GNU debugger) and libgcu-dbg (and maybe
libglib2.0-0-dbg, libgtk2.0-0-dbg). Then reproduce the crash inside the
gdb:
gdb gchempaint
(gdb) set logging on
(gdb) r
...
