I was just upgrading a machine here from 2.5.0-1 to 2.5.0-8, and hit
this same problem:
Setting up cups-pdf (2.5.0-8) ...
Reloading Common Unix Printing System: cupsd.
Password for root on localhost?
So apparently 2.5.0-8 doesn't fix it. (This is a regular, physical
