Hi, So far, besides this original bug, 2 additional bugs faced this problem of plugins not being activated upon munin-node installation:
http://bugs.debian.org/545991 http://bugs.debian.org/543944 In both cases I reproduced the problem, and then ran it again with the patched munin-node.postinst, and it indeed solves the problem. I think we should raise the priority of this bug, review the patch and add it to the release, in order to reduce duplicate bug noise, and solve this problem once and for all.
