Package: lxmusic Version: 0.3.0-1 Severity: minor Hello,
thank you for packaging lxmusic. I was evaluating it as a possible music player for the openmoko, but I hit a problem: # lxmusic Log output will be stored in /root/.cache/xmms2/xmms2d.log startup failed! Connection failed: xmms2d is not running. # cat /root/.cache/xmms2/xmms2d.log --- Starting new xmms2d --- PLEASE DON'T RUN XMMS2D AS ROOT! (if you really must, read the help) In the openmoko, by default everything runs as root. Unfortunately, I have read the manpage of xmms2d and lxmusic but I have not found a way to tell it to start as root anyway. I understand that lxmusic is probably not a good choice for the openmoko anyway, because the interface has probably not been optimized for a small touch screen. I reported this bug mostly to let you know of the incident. If the openmoko is not an intended target platform for lxmusic, feel free to close this bug or tag as wontfix.
