Package: console-tools
Version: 1:0.2.3dbs-66
Severity: important
File: console

Using nVidia Quadro FX 1400 hardware and having just done a dist-upgrade within
squeeze, virtual consoles are no longer available and the font changes to a
really thin lanky-looking one just before X starts. I can CTRL-ALT-F1 but I see
a blank screen. The system still appears to respond since after I enter login
info, there is disk activity. I can ALT-F7 back to X as well. If I start in
single-user mode, I can still operate the console but the font still changes to
the strange lanky one. If I then exit single user mode so the rest of the
system boots, I get the same problem once X starts.

When doing the dist-upgrade of console-tools, it pointed out that the
SCREEN_FONT lines at the bottom of /etc/console-tools/config were to be
removed. I tried adding them back in and rebooting since this problem showed
up, but that doesn't help.
