bug - I'm obviously out of my comfort zone ;-)
While working on another wishlist bug, NaCl (the wicd-curses
developer) mentioned this one to me, so I decided to look into
handling it. Can you have a look at this branch in bzr and see

As recent versions of wicd have a curses interface which does not require X11,
would it be possible to split the package into separate GUI and non-GUI
packages, so that the X11 interface (and GTK dependencies) are optional?
