The latest testing xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.3.2-3 (with no xorg.conf) gives an EVIOCGNAME error reported in /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(**) "ImExPS/2 Logitech Explorer Mouse": always reports core events (**) "ImExPS/2 Logitech Explorer Mouse": Device: "/dev/input/mouse0" (EE) ioctl EVIOCGNAME failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device (II) UnloadModule: "evdev" (EE) PreInit returned NULL for ""ImExPS/2 Logitech Explorer Mouse"" Also my mouse/Trackball is barely functional since all the button and other mappings are messed up. After a bit of searching, I see that a large number of people are experiencing similar problems. I also have seen something about xorg configuration now handled via udev instead of hal, but there is nothing in the Debian changelog about this! Where is the documentation for converting the hal-fdi configuration to udev? This seems to be a major usability bug. ael -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
