Package: screen
Version: 4.0.3-14em1
Severity: minor

I use GNU Screen's :altscreen feature. When you close a full-screen
app like less or w3m, the old contents of the screen (i.e. your shell
interaction) is displayed.

Recently I noticed that this was not the case for Emacs. Below is a
base64-encoded copy of a screenlog.0 generated from a "screen -c
/dev/null" session running in a small xterm that, I believe,
demonstrates the problem.

Another IRC user reported that mutt (as well as Emacs) had this
problem, but I can't reproduce that.

I've CC'd an upstream developer, who has prepared a patch which ought
to fix this problem (I haven't tested it yet).

You'll note from my version numbers that I'm running Emdebian Grip; if
necessary I can reproduce the problem on a normal Squeeze system.
