Hi, I seem to have this this old bug since some time but haven't had the time to report it before. I have had it since September (I think) last year but never got the time to report it. Now I do.
If I try to save .svg files and repopen Inkscape fails. It also happens for some other formats, and .eps is one of the few which I can handle here. Here are the output to the console with my actions and comments after each # $ pwd /etc $ls -laF drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Sep 1 21:27 gnome-vfs-2.0/ $cd gnome-vfs-2.0/ $ ls -laF total 20 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Sep 1 21:27 ./ drwxr-xr-x 124 root root 12288 Jan 20 15:58 ../ drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 1 21:28 modules/ $ cd modules/ $ ls -laF total 16 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 1 21:28 ./ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Sep 1 21:27 ../ -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 301 Sep 4 17:57 default-modules.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 225 Feb 7 2011 extra-modules.conf # Now opening Inkscape from console and trying to save a file as test_inkscape_001.svg $ inkscape (inkscape:9080): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to retrieve the file info for `file:///home/debu66er/tmp/test_inkscape_001.svg': Error stating file '/home/debu66er/tmp/test_inkscape_001.svg': No such file or directory # Now closing Inkscape # Now opening Inkscape from console and trying to open the previously saved file test_inkscape_001.svg $ inkscape (inkscape:9109): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_is_local: assertion `uri != NULL' failed ** (inkscape:9109): WARNING **: Invalid URI ** (inkscape:9109): WARNING **: Error: Could not open file '/home/debu66er/tmp/test_inkscape_001.svg' with VFS # Now closing Inkscape # Here is the output per previous messages $ reportbug --template inkscape Warning: no reportbug configuration found.
