Hi, i think that mpg321-0.2.11-2 version resolves this problem by adding the -x option which enables xterm title setting. This is a better approach. You can download and test it from mentors.d.n.  A mentor has to upload it to sid. Thanks for your time and effort giving away this patch. Best
