Package: sshfs
Version: 2.2-1
Severity: wishlist

sshfs should check that the mountpoint exists before it forces you
to type the remote system's password.

This is silly:
$ sshfs mace.phon.ox.ac.uk:/proj/exemplar/Distance/src
g...@mace.phon.ox.ac.uk's password:
fuse: missing mountpoint parameter
$

Obviously, this is an error. But it's not a rare error,
and sshfs should be as nice as possible to the user, even if
the user has forgotten to type a necessary argument.
