Patch gives a hint in README.Debian to enable KMS in initrd (and how to do it).
Thanks to Guido Günther for giving info and advising me to provide my very
first patch ;)
Adding i915.modeset=1 as boot parameter to grub doesn't work for me (or I
didn't try hard enough)
