It turns out that there was a dependency in 0.6.0, but the dependency no
longer exists in 0.7.2-1+b1. The problem was caused by an older
installation of 0.6.0 in the PATH, which was taking precedence over the
current package from Debian Testing.
Please go ahead and close the ticket.

The same version of dmtxread (without the libgraphicsmagick1 installed)
works perfectly on i386, so I'm lowering the severity to normal. I think it
could be an x86_64 problem, could you please send me the output of "ldd
/usr/bin/dmtxre
