Hi,
The roff non-breaking space ("\ "), which is heavily used in French,
when it happens in end of line of the translated manual page, is
transformed into a single slash ("\"), thus no space at all appears
in the manual pages.
The problem occurs in some manual pages of the manpages-fr-extra,
package, please find attached a few lines exemple taken from the
ps(1) manual page in order to reproduce it:
pb-nbs.1 uses some roff non-breaking space in its original version
fr.po is just a translation that keep pristine the non-breaking space
pb-nbs.fr.1 is the resulting translated manual pages:
the "-o\ " in end of line is transformed in "-o\"
thus the "-o pid" is showed as "-opid" in French.
