It looks like this is FreeBSD/hal issue. See for example
http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=4928 - note that happens
without kvm too.

In order to add more info to an archived bugreport, you may
un-archive it first, by sending email message to cont...@bugs.d.o,
like explained on this page: http://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
In this case the email should contain:

unarchive 565550

Yes, that's the right package.

ohh... nice.... ;)

Yes, thank you.

Now, we've 3 points.

http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=4928 and a few other reports
like that shows that this happens on bare-metal (non-virtual) hw too.

By pure logic, this should not happen on _all_ hardware, or else it'd
  be fixed long time ago.

and as shown in http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.qemu/76689 ,
  this command (0x03 = GPCMD_GET_EVENT_STATUS_NOTIFICATION) is actually
not implemented by qemu, and other users are noticed this problem too.

So.. I'm tagging this as "upstream patch" for now, and including the
proposed patch into next revision of the package.

Thanks!
