Adding some info about an oldish bugreport.
FWIW, but in 0.14 qemu-kvm (with seabios
version 0.6.1.2) I can't reproduce this
problem anymore, so it appears to be fixed.
So I'll close this bugreport by uploading
0.14 version.
Thanks!

Hi!
What I saw now is that with these versions installed, it works normally:
ii seabios 0.5.1-3 Legacy BIOS implementation
ii qemu-keymaps 0.12.5+dfsg-2 QEMU keyboard maps
ii qemu-kvm 0.12.5+dfsg-4 Full virtualization on x86 hardware
ii qemu-system

reassign 604034 qemu-kvm 0.12.5+dfsg-4
thanks

Now when I re-read your original bugreport, I see it's mis-filed
(not your problem, it's confusing enough). So I'm reassigning
the bug appropriately.
Since it was giving a BIOS error and I didn't know that it was using
its own

Now while we're on it, can you please show the kvm command line
you're using?
It's a very default machine created in virt-manager and it's being called as:
QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=none /usr/bin/kvm -S -M pc-0.12 -cpu qemu32 -enable-kvm
-m
severity 604034 normal
thanks

Ok. From there, I was able to reduce it to just this:
kvm -cdrom mona.iso -usb
this is enough to trigger the problem. Omitting -usb or using some
other CD image lets it to process.
Confirmed.
Package: seabios
Version: 0.6.0+git20100710-2
Severity: important
Hi!
(almost sure that this problem belongs to seabios)
Try to run this ISO image [1] inside virt-manager I get on the console:

Booting from CD-Rom...
